Ricardo
Otheguy is a professor of Linguistics at the Graduate Center
of the City University of New York. He is on the faculty
in Linguistics as well as in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian
Literatures and languages. Professor Otheguy is the author
of numerous books and research papers that have appeared
in the major research journals and anthologies. He is co-editor
of Language Across Cultures/Cultures Across English:
A reader in cross cultural communication and also co-editor
of Signal, Meaning and Message: Perspectives on Sign-Based
Linguistics. He has developed text book materials for
the teaching of Spanish to Latino students and is co-author
of Tu Mundo: Curso para Hispanohablantes and of
Prueba de ubicación para Hispanohablantes. |
